Well, it does have something to do with the business of LightWave - I know
a number of LW people who won't move to LA - they haven't seen the last
two places I lived in. (Montrose and Pasadena) They are great areas...

I've lived in crappy parts of LA - hell, I've lived in my CAR for six
freaking months in LA. (True story - Lee Stranahan - World's Dumbest
Homeless Guy). Nice parts are better. If you move here, move to a nice
part.

This is one of the only cities where you are really plugged in, though -
the entertainment industry is HERE, and so the town seems to be 3-6 months
ahead of the world.
